-Aula Harmoniae continues its 2012 Fall Concert Season with Pleasures of the Late Late Baroque, a program filled with beauty, charm, and virtuosity of the late Baroque in France, Germany, and Spain.  Baroque flutist Sang Joon Park leads Aula Harmoniae and its distinguished members Martha McGaughey, viola da gamba, and Arthur Haas, harpsichord, performing the music of Carl Friedrich Abel, Joseph Bodin Boismortier, Pietro Antonio Locatelli and Jean-Philippe Rameau.  One of the highlights of the concert will be the U. S. premiere performance of the Flute Sonata by Spanish composer Antonio Rodil (c.1730-1787), first flutist and composer at the Royal Court of Lisbon (Portugal) during the reign of King Joseph I.  Another highlight of the concert, joined by soprano Soo Yeon Kim, will be the New York premiere performance of Cantada de Navidad (Christmas Cantata) by the Italian composer Francisco Corselli, Maestro de la Capilla of the King of Spain.  Originally written for soprano, flute obbligato, and chamber orchestra, this version was transcribed especially for Aula Harmoniae by its director, Sang Joon Park.
