Women Composers in 17th and 18th century Venice:
Barbara Strozzi, Anna Bon and Antonia Bembo
-I will be performing in three upcoming concerts with early music ensemble La Donna Musicale (click to see the website) in Boston, director Laury Gutierrez (click to see link). La donna Musicale is dedicated to the research and the historical performance of Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, and Contemporary music by women composers. I will be playing Flute Sonata IV in D Major and Trio Sonata IV in G Major by Anna Bon (1739/40 - ??), two charming Rococo pieces.
